Hydrophobic Fumed Silica in sealant - HJSIL R110

Hydrophobic fumed silica is a very effective thixotropic agent for polar epoxy based, urethane and vinyl ester based adhesives. In addition, when hydrophobic fumed silica is used, the adhesive Good storage stability can be obtained, even under high shearing force, it will become sticky, which guarantees good stability of the adhesive.

 

HJSIL R110 is a hydrophobic fumed silica after-treated with Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). In particular, the use of low-thickening hydrophobic silicas can improve the aging resistance of mechanically and basically cured adhesives and gel layers, which is an advantage for buildings close to the coast or in the sea, even where the environmental conditions are relatively inhospitable.
