Description: Hydrophilic Silica With Dds Treatment

HJSIL R274 is a hydrophobic fumed silica after-treated with Dimethyldichlorosilane (DDS). It is one of our Silicon Dioxide With Hydrophobic Groups.


The surface of Hydrophilic fumed silica contains a large number of hydroxyl groups and polar groups, which makes it easy for the primary particles to collide with each other and aggregate together to form secondary aggregates, which affects the uniformity of fumed silica in organic polymers. Dispersion can not meet the special needs of some industries, so it is necessary to carry out chemical modification on the surface of fumed silica to make the surface of fumed silica change from hydrophilic to hydrophobic, so as to improve the nano-fumed silica.
